Reclaimed timbers and recycled wood are used for homes and various projects across the world. Architects, designers, builders and timber framers have a passion for reclaimed materials; they have history and a story.

Most enjoy working with this aged, reclaimed lumber because it's so stable; it has been slow dried over the decades so the old wood beams stay true. It finishes easily and looks fantastic once completed. It is old growth as opposed to something new trying to look antique.

Many projects build only hand-cut frames, some build only machine-cut frames and others employ a mix of the two. The timber frame industry is young but it is growing rapidly because the timber frame product that is built today from old exotic wood is beautiful, practical, strong, energy efficient and economical.

Reclaimed timbers, antique lumber, recycled wood, recycled lumber, hand hewn beams and antique beams are readily available. Architects, interior designers and homeowners are discovering the beauty, environmental aspect, and increasing availability of this "reclaimed wood".
